Using the supplied spring the effort needed to operate the clutch lever can be reduced by 40%.
Initial spring pressure is 190lbs on Evo.

On twincam clutches, the VPC alters the diaphragm spring pressure by depressing the clutch closer to the centre. The further away from the outer diameter of the spring, the less force/effort required to compress the spring.

In short, the VPC has following advantages:
- Light Clutch lever operation (at normal operating RPM); up to about 50% lighter than standard at idle.
- Better Clutch disengagement and feel than standard.
- Clutch release mechanism is the same as standard, no dragging or funny feel. 100% disengagement!
- Easier to find Neutral. (No reduction of pushrod stroke)
- Not only lighter pull, but stronger clutch engagement than standard when engine speeds increase
- 10 minute installation, requiring only removal of the derby cover. No removal of the exhaust, no grinding, no new gaskets, no new oil.
- Billet aluminum and two-piece steel design.
- Unlike other devices, the VPC allows full clutch travel and complete disengagement.
